Results of Chris Crane Cup

Tonight we had the results of the Chris Crane Cup. Unfortunately due to Covid the judge, Martin Kitching was unable to be present so he submitted a commentary on the five best images. 

There were a total of 48 images submitted in the themes of Chris’s favourite subjects: landscapes, engineering and wildlife. Martin commented there were many images that had the attraction of a successful image - one that always holds your attention and makes you keep coming back to it. 

This year the judge was was asked to select the top five images rather than in previous years just have the winner announced. 

The results were

4th place        Low clouds on Skye       Paul Kidd
3rd place        Dung-fly on umbellifer   Jim Meikle
2nd place       Stay away                        Paul Kidd
WINNER        Quayside sunset             Bob Finlay

Congratulations to Bob for such a super winning image and thanks to all the members who submitted images and to Martin for undertaking the judging.
