This year the North Tyne was hosted by Whitley Bay Photographic Society, at the King Street Club the home North Shields Camera Club. As usual we were greeted with a warm welcome. The judge on the night was Chris Graham of Ashington Camera Club, Who explained the usual guidelines of the competition and that like all judges, this is only his opinion! After a very detailed critique by Chris the scores were counted and results announced! 1 st Place – North Shields 2 nd Place – Gosforth 3 rd Place – Cramlington 4 th Place – Whitley Bay and Tynemouth. On Thursday evening Cramlington Camera Club Hosted the first leg of 4Way Inter Club, competition PDI’s. Our Judge on the night was Stephen Fowler of Ryton & District Camera Club.
After the usual introductions Stephen proceeded to the task at hand. Giving his thoughts and critique on the 40 images that were entered. He did say that it had been a pleasure to look at so many good images presented to him. His delivery was methodical and positive. He gave the image “Gannet Food Dispute” 30 points, this was an entry from Gosforth. Final scores were 1st Morpeth 263 points 2nd Gosforth 261 points 3rd Gateshead 244 points 4th Cramlington 243 points We now look forward to the 2nd leg in Febuary 2024 Colin Livingstone Interclub Secretary |
