3rd Open Print Competition
05/03/20 Tonight we had the results of the 3rd and final Open Print Competition of the season judged by Dave Murrell. Dave is a former member of Durham Photographic Society and a current member of Hartlepool Camera Club. Dave enjoys a wide range of photographic genres including wedding and astro photography. At the beginning of the evening Dave stressed that the comments he would make, as with any judge, were his personal opinions and that members may agree or disagree his decisions. Firstly Dave provided his comments on the mono prints followed by the colour prints providing positive feedback on each print and suggestions where prints could be improved. Tonight’s congratulations go to Pauline Wilson for The Violinist (mono) and to Paul Dunn for Bad Antler Day (colour). At the end of the evening Dave remained at the club and was happy to discuss any of the prints with the members providing further feedback and suggestions. A full list of the prints 'placed' and' highly commended' are shown below.
