Edward Forster ARPS & Mick Howe
 
Edward Forster, ARPS and Mick Howe, came to visit us this week with their dual presentation of prints and PDIs.  Although they both go on trips together and shoot in the same locations there images are quite different.
 
Mick shoots with a set of three Sigma cameras whilst Edward occasionally use's a modified CCTV lens with soft edges but very sharp centre for effects.
 
Mick showed us a variety of projected images ranging from street photography in Newcastle, Edinburgh Fringe to a barbershop in London, to some portraits of very colourful characters at Whitby and Steam festivals.
 
Edwards's prints ranged from musical portraits from the "Americana" and The Goths to the gravelled beach of Dungeness.  Edward explained that he liked to see movement in his images so images from Tynemouth market and the London tube showed his passion in this area.  Also in the mix was a selection of moody landscapes.
Both accompanied there images with anecdotes of the days out and even suspecting that a train driver purposely closed the steam valve when crossing the Ribblehead Viaduct to annoy the waiting photographers.

As the evening drew to a close Lauren thanked our guests and the members showed their usual appreciation.
