25th Jan 2012
Tonight the results of the 2nd Open PDI Competition were revealed. Making a welcome return to Cramlington was Trevor Roxby of Washington Camera Club. Trevor is a well respected NCPF accredited judge who we last saw at the club back in 2012 when he judged our 1st PDI Competition of that season. Trevor explained that as he had the entries since before Christmas he had plenty of time to view and judge each mage. Trevor said he was impressed with the standard of entries and enjoyed viewing them. As each of the 53 entered images was projected Trevor gave his thoughts and commented on what he liked or disliked and perhaps how it could be improved upon. As the judging came to an end the top 5 images were announced with 1st place being awarded to Julia Robson for ‘Memories’, a beautiful still life composition. Thanks must go to Trevor for agreeing to judge this competition and for presenting the results in such a way that even criticism, where made was constructive and positive. Trevor received the members thanks with a round of applause for a job well done. A very well done to Julia and well done to all who were ‘Placed’ or ‘Highly Commended’ and thanks to all who entered.
